The power of the imagination can do anything ... right?

Ben Stiller directs and stars in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, perhaps looking for a way to capture everything he imagines for his life, beyond a simple Hollywood comedian. Like himself, so does Walter Mitty, Stiller's alter ego in the film, an ordinary photo editor, too fond of daydreaming, bored and disgusted with his life.

But when he lets his imagination soar (which happens quite often) he comes up with The Secret Life of Walter Mitty that gives the film its title, a life where Walter is the opposite of what he is in his everyday life: a hero without fear of a life unsurpassed without challenges he can't overcome in his fantasy, whether climbing a huge glacier or rescuing an elderly person from a building that will explode.

But in real life, Walter Mitty isn't even brave enough to confess his love to his female colleague (Kristen Wiig ), or do something to get out of the monotony ... until he's in real danger of losing his job, and Walter must do the unthinkable: move from inaction to reality by embarking on a most extraordinary journey around the world that will be all he ever imagined, and that's a lot!
